TORGA Tortoise
TORGA Tortoise
These sunglasses pay tribute to Miguel Torga, one of the great Portuguese poets and writers of the 20th century, known for his deep connection to the land and the soul of Portugal. Born in 1907, his works reflect the harshness and beauty of rural life.
The TORGA sunglasses are for the “basics” who somehow want to show they’re not so basic after all.
As we say in Portugal: D. Sebastião (A king who perished in battle, and whose legend grew to claim that he will one day return to save Portugal from all its troubles) will come on a foggy morning, and he won’t need sunglasses, but tomorrow it will be 30ºC and you’ll be heading to the beach.
If you want to understand what’s written on the inside of the arms, we give you a clue... It's in portuguese.
